Kwinana Knights Auskick call The Village at Wellard home

The Village at Wellard has proudly partnered with the Kwinana Knights Junior Football Club to move its Auskick competition to The Village at Wellard Oval.

Kwinana Knights’, one of the metropolitan area’s largest, most established and successful junior football clubs, will kick off their Auskick season on Sunday 30 April 2017 with more than 400 players in some 22 teams.

Kwinana Knights President Dave Acker said the club had outgrown its Orelia headquarters where it has been based since 2009 and was struggling to fit all the training sessions and fixtures onto a limited number of playing ovals.

“We wanted to take advantage of a booming local area where we can grow Auskick at the grass roots. So our club was delighted when The Village at Wellard came to the party with financial support to help us make the move possible,” Dave said.

The support being provided through The Village at Wellard’s Community Partnership Program will help the Kwinana Knights cover costs such as setting up the canteen, and buying footballs and targets for the three respective Auskick divisions for five, six and seven year olds.
