Life in the heart of The Village is now up for grabs!
A brand new life in the heart of The Village at Wellard with shops, cafes, train and beautiful parks all on your doorstop could be yours.
Ten lots have been released in the new Village Centre South Stage 5, ranging from 273sqm - 429sqm and priced from just $165,000 - $220,000.
These exciting new offerings are located on Sowood Street and Portobello Parade which are situated between two beautiful parks – a new Nature Play park and a recently-completed adventure park.
It’s a great opportunity to secure your new home in the multi-award winning The Village at Wellard which continues to be one of Perth’s best selling communities.
The Village is renowned for its great community feel and its abundant natural assets which include 10 hectares of wetlands and 17 hectares of retained bushland, providing beautiful outlooks for many homes and great nature escapes for residents.
“We love The Village at Wellard for the bush vibe. Some estates are just flat and lifeless but we love that they left all the tall gum trees and the banksia. A lot of our friends have commented how much they love it,” said Amy Tunnecliffe, who is looking forward to moving into her first new home there with partner Nathan Reid, within the next month.
“We were after a 550sqm block as we didn’t want the house up against the back fence but could have a back yard for our dogs. We have a kelpie who needs lots of exercise and a Labrador pup and they will have lots of room to run around.
“We also wanted to be across the road from a park and we’ve got that too. There’s barbeques and neighbours meet at that park almost every afternoon, and there are always parties and gatherings happening there.
“We don’t have any children yet but will be moving to the right place for that next chapter in our lives when that happens, and there will be the parks for kids to play in and enjoy. So, we are really looking forward to that too.”
A joint venture between Peet Limited and the WA Housing Authority, The Village at Wellard has won a string of national and state awards including a UDIA Award for Excellence - Best Residential Development ver 250 lots and is now more than 70 per cent complete.
All the lots in Village Centre South 5 are less than 10 minutes’ walk from The Village Centre, with its major Woolworths supermarket, cafes and specialty stores. They are also near the estate’s Village Centre South Park where new public art has recently been unveiled.
Jack Shaw and his partner Sarah Marshall are excited about being just three weeks away from moving into their first home at The Village at Wellard, after finalising the purchase of their block in November last year.
“Our builder recommended a range of lots for us to look at. We went to The Village at Wellard. It was green, pretty chilled out, and seemed like a really nice spot. And with the train station there, its value should go up in the future,” Jack said.
With their first child due in September, the couple is looking forward to moving from their current rented one-bedroom apartment into the space of a new 3 x 2 house.
The mechanical fitter will also be happy to have a fuss-free commute of under half an hour from Wellard to his work at Canning Vale, instead of the daily trek he now faces from Glendalough, in Perth’s north. The trip home currently takes an average of about 45 minutes but on some days, when there are accidents or other traffic hold-ups, can be up to double that time.
